Support Crucible
Crucible is built and maintained by one person. Everything you need is already covered by the free apps and the Heightmap subscription, so donating is entirely optional. This page is only here for people who have asked how to throw in extra.
Donate with PayPalOne-time, monthly or yearly. PayPal, Venmo or card, and a PayPal account is not required for the card option.
Where the Donate buttons are
Section titled “Where the Donate buttons are”Every one of these opens the same PayPal donation page in your normal web browser. Nothing takes payment inside an app.
- Crucible launcher, the Shop tab, then Donate in the product list on the left.
- Crucible Heightmap, in Settings, beside the Docs and Feedback buttons.
- Crucible Local Server, the heart icon in the top right of the window.
- drizzza.com, in the footer of the main pages.
What it supports
Section titled “What it supports”- Build time on the apps you already use.
- Continued development on unreleased apps and tools.
- The servers, domains, and test hardware behind everything.
What it does not do
Section titled “What it does not do”A donation is not a purchase, and it is deliberately kept separate from the paid product:
- It does not unlock features. Nothing in any Crucible app is gated behind it.
- It does not change your license or your Crucible Heightmap subscription.
- It does not come with an obligation. Support is voluntary.
If you want Crucible Heightmap, buy the subscription instead. See licenses and account.
Donating
Section titled “Donating”- Open the Crucible donation page on PayPal, or click Donate in any app.
- Pick one-time, monthly, or yearly, and an amount.
- Pay with PayPal, Venmo, or a card. A PayPal account is not required for the card option.
The donation page has a note field. If you would like the supporter role on Discord, put your Discord username in that note, then say hello in Discord.
Cancelling a monthly or yearly donation
Section titled “Cancelling a monthly or yearly donation”A recurring donation is managed entirely in PayPal, not in any Crucible app:
- Go to paypal.com and sign in.
- Open Settings, then Payments, then Manage automatic payments.
- Select Crucible and cancel it.
It stops at the end of the current billing cycle, so it keeps showing as active until that date. That is normal and does not mean the cancellation failed.
This is separate from a Crucible Heightmap subscription, which is cancelled from the Account panel in the launcher. Cancelling one never touches the other.
